You might also find spray paint on the tree. The bark paint will not cause any harm and will eventually wear off. It will be a permanent eyesore. Solvents can cause more damage to the tree than paint can. You can still remove vandalized paint from trees if you take care.
Use a sponge to apply mineral spirits to the spray paint. Let the mineral spirits sit for 5-10 minutes.

Removing Paint from Tile
You’ll be able to remove a tile-damaged paint stain much easier if it’s still wet. Use a synthetic fiber scrubber to clean the grout. You may be able remove some of the spilled material if it has dried. This may require you to do this more than once. Use soapy water or mineral spirits to clean the grout. Use an old toothbrush to scrub discolored grout. Rub alcohol can be used to dissolve latex paint residue or lacquer thinner to oil paint.

The United States Forest Service states that you can remove tree paint using a power washer or sandblaster. These machines can be rented from many heavy equipment and home improvement stores.
